Happy Birthday Jeffrey

Jeffrey turned 8 on March 29th.  He will be baptized in May.  He had a great day.  He got a bike for his birthday.  The weather has been beautiful here lately so it's been great bike riding weather.

Happy Birthday Jeffrey, we love you.

We see a lot a moose in our yard.  Here are some of the latest pictures of them.  We still get excited to see them.

Sarah's 3rd Birthday and Spring Break

Our Sweet Little Sarah turned 3 years old on March 9th.  Happy Birthday Sarah, we love you!

The kids are on Spring Break this week but the weather has been very Wintery.  It has snowed for the past 2 days.  They have played outside some and enjoyed the new snow even though it's about 9 degrees outside.  This picture below is on Wasilla Lake a few weeks ago.  Many people ice skate on the lake.  They plow the snow off the lake and you see people playing hockey and ice skating.  We don't have skates so we just walked and slid on the ice.

We saw this Moose in our yard.  The other picture is a picture of Moose droppings Andrew, Jeffrey, and Lena collected.  We were at Wal-Mart the other day and they noticed that Jewelery and other items are made out of Moose poop and sold, they decided they could collect some.  Very gross I think.

Happy New Year

I don't have any pictures to post, but I wanted to wish everyone a happy new year!  We enjoyed (I use that term loosely) the fireworks over Wasilla Lake (Ice) last night in 8 degree weather.  It has come down from the 35-40 we have been seeing the last couple of weeks, but still better than the 15 below before that.  It was interesting to see people watching the fireworks in their cars with the engines running.

Winter Wonderland

A Beautiful Sun Rise is Alaska

Living so close to the North Pole one can only expect a lot of snow and this week it snowed most of the week. It turned our home into a Winter Wonderland.  The kids are on Christmas Break so they can enjoy playing in the snow.  Hopefully it will warm up some.  It was 4 below today so they didn't play outside to long.

If you look closely you can see a Moose in the trees.

Brian made the Teeland Jr. High Basketball team. Here is the picture they had done. This is one of the miracles of our move in my opinion. The day we went to register Brian the lady helping us aked if Brian played basketball and we said yes. She walked out in the hall and got the coach and introduced him to Brian. Tryouts had been going on already and they had 1 more day left. He told Brian if he could come the next day at 2 p.m. he could try out. There was 1 spot left and Brian made the team. Pretty amazing. His team came in 3rd place.
